This standard of excellence, against which I measure all other indicas, is my go-to pain reliever. Romulan melts my face. Every time. Night time use only, unless I have a migraine or cramps. I have been smoking this strain for so long that I can tell by smell when anything else I get has been crossed with it.

A strong body high, with high couchlock, perfect for pain, anxiety, and insomnia. Makes me feel like someone is massaging my muscles from within my body; sometimes it feels like there is electricity tingling down my limbs. Very effective for my chronic shoulder and neck pain. The pain is transformed into a sensation of heat that is not nearly as bothersome. My favorite effect Romulan has is that it intensifies auditory stimuli and deepens appreciation for music. Music (especially ambient, trance) sounds like it's in HD, or three dimensional. If I'm outside, it somehow makes me hear each sound as a separate "layer," and I can choose which layer to focus on, which then makes the other layers recede into the background. Even subtle, distant sounds become much clearer. It's like I'm locking on to a signal and scanning it. It's extremely pleasant to lie down and listen to music with headphones on and then slowly drift off into a nice satisfying sleep. I sleep more deeply and wake up in less pain. Sometimes I'm a bit lethargic the day after. No other negative side effects apart from a bit of dry mouth and the munchies, which I usually avoid by sleeping shortly after smoking.

IMHO, this is a strain made just for me by the ganja gods. They smiled down upon me and blessed me with this legendary Canadian strain. It does exactly what I want it to, obliterates my pain, keeps me super mellow, and knocks me out at the end of the day. I've been waiting years for it to come around my source and I cannot be happier about it.

T-10 min.; packed piece with 0.45g freshly ground Romulan. There is a slight spicy, peppery aroma. +0:00; smokes evenly, but hit quite harshly. Taking smaller, controlled and even hits worked best to avoid a coughing fit. Smoke tastes spicy, not much taste of 'grass'. +0:10; unbelievable that at this point into the high time already seems completely distorted and unreasonably long. Although, not having to do anything makes this lag enjoyable in such setting as this, couched. +0:20; still writing, could smoke more, don't really think I need nor want to. I'm good. +0:22; decides to take another hit, it's a big one. Coughing is inevitable. Still soaring at a decent rate, nothing to steep whatsoever. Cashed, checking in at +0:50. +0:50; things are evening out, heart rate steady though slightly raised during onset. Anxiety is decreased. Calm, even breathing, light blues rock is quite enjoyable and eclectic. Smoked a spliff which lifted the buzz even more. Definitely lightheaded. Must lay down. Enjoy Romulan at home! You won't get things done on it. I'm surprised I could write this review. Good up though to Romulan, you've lullabied me right to sleep. A job well done my indica friend.

The Rom dropped a bomb on my head. Not the smartest idea to take my portable vaporizer loaded up with this particular strain to a bowling alley. Needless to say, I quickly lost interest in the repetitiveness of throwing a heavy ball down a strip of greased flooring. It was one of those midnight bowling situations where they turn the lights down...I simply felt the need to just put on my sunglasses anyway and observe this strange event of black lights, neon colors, and top 40 pop hits from a seated position for the rest of the night.

I am pretty picky in what strains I medicate with and have tried all kinds, but Romulan is one of my all-time favorites. I am very specific in the effects I want to feel. I need cannabis to 1) Calm my stomach/intestines immediately and take away nausea - and - 2) Provide me with a mellow, manageable high that does NOT induce paranoia or anxiety. I have severe IBS, GERD and a host of other intestinal issues, so a high CBD count is important to me. Getting so high I'm out of my head is NOT my main priority so I tend to stick to heavy, thick indicas, Romulan is like an old friend - I can depend upon it to take care of my body pain and calm my mind. It never fails me. It's mellow, even fun, and I feel like I can trust its effects and not worry. It's so easy on the body and mind - a truly MELLOW strain perfect for evening use and hanging out at home. It's excellent for physical pain and it provides instant relief all over. It has a great body high/body buzz that can be quite effective with the libido. More so than other strains I've found. This strain is my go-to for pain and daily use, and it always seems to be plentiful in my area. I think everyone should try it to experience the mellow, fun buzz it provides.

I got a free sample from Medithrive a while back and decided to finally try it out. I'm not much of an Indica person so I didn't know what to expect....DAYAMM!!! To put it simply, when you smoke it, you're in a battle with gravity and you will NOT win, so don't bother trying to fight it. When I stood up I just immediately sat back down because my body was jello. Once I laid down in my bed, it felt like I was floating on air. This is some crazy stuff!! Definitely not for beginners! I think I found my fave Indica!

I have horrible nerve pain in my legs from a spinal injury. This strain takes that pain away within minutes. I have let a few of my friends who also have nerve pain, they have all had the same results. If you suffer from nerve pain issues, this stuff works miracles.
