Post-workout Indica/CBD healing is the purpose of my ventures into indica-dom strains, so I acquired some Mendocino Purple. First thing, this strain tastes like a "woodsy" aromatherapy candle! However, the flavor is smooth and tolerable, but it's there. I chose this variety simply because of its smell and appearance, that's it. The flower's scent is intoxicating, and has deep purple highlights throughout the nugs; looks like purple and green camo. So, I was surprised that I could function while medicated; function includes study, cleaning, etc. After about an hour and a half I began to feel the deeper therapeutic strength of Mendocino Purps. I experienced mild radiating heat throughout my body and felt relaxed, but not lethargic (*hint about functionality). After all, I chose to use indica-doms to help with DOMS, increase pain threshold during Post-workout stretching, and to promote relaxation after exercise. I do not want to lounge around until I am able to function; something I've experienced in the past with Indica strains. So, overall...I like Mendocino Purples, but if given a choice I'd prefer to try something new than to smoke this strain again.
